In preparation for the new Future Homes Standard regulation, Lovell has purpose built two eco-friendly trial homes, called Tomorrow Home, at Cornish Park in Spennymoor.
The Tomorrow Home showcases the various cutting-edge technologies essential to reducing carbon including alternative electric heating systems to see which ones are the most reliable, energy-efficient, and affordable.
The trials include air source heat pumps, triple-glazed windows, battery storage, improved air tightness, waste water heat recovery, infrared heating, and solar panels. The results will help inform new, cost-effective housing specifications and support Lovell’s wider decarbonisation strategy.
